As the President of this esteemed chapter, I am thrilled to introduce you to our digital home. We invite you to discover information regarding our rich history, vibrant programs, scholarship opportunities and to virtually meet the outstanding members who make up our chapter.

Norfolk Alumnae Chapter, chartered in September 1929, is the oldest alumnae chapter in the Sensational South Atlantic Region. Our legacy thrives on a steadfast commitment to our sorority’s universal platform of sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action.

As you explore our website, you will be enlightened on our chapter’s unique, long, and unwavering legacy of service, leadership, and sisterhood in the Norfolk community. As well as our dedication to promoting academic excellence, social responsibility, and civic engagement.

Our chapter's major programs are based on our sorority's Five-Point Programmatic Thrust:

  • Economic Development

  • Educational Development

  • International Awareness and Involvement

  • Physical and Mental Health

  • Political Awareness and Involvement

Implementation of our various programs, events, and partnerships are based on these five diverse program areas to ensure that we uphold the values of our illustrious sisterhood while being thoroughly invested in making a lasting positive impact on the lives of those we serve.

Whether you are a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a supporter of our programs and initiatives, or someone simply curious about our work, we thank you for perusing our website and we hope you will join us soon for one of our dynamic programs that are open to the public.

In Service,

Dr. Gardenella Green, Chapter President
